The CSMT Banner
CSMT Coat of Arms

The CSMT banner features a scallop at its base, symbolizing the vast journeys, both internal and external, that scientists must make to offer the gift of knowledge to the world. The crossed squares on the titled quadrant signify technology in its basic and advanced forms, which humanity must use to build its future. A rich navy blue dominates the banner, representing the CSMT commitment to truth and loyalty to its disciplines.

Outreach Organizations

At the heart of the mission statement for the College of Science, Mathematics, and Technology is community outreach. Our outreach organizations promote the quality of science education in the Rio Grande Valley through partnerships with the public schools systems. In addition, our outreach organizations seek to stimulate the natural fascination of young minds in scientific disciplines through numerous, science-based programs. In the end, the goal of our outreach organizations is to foster the development of the young scientists who will lead us into the future.
