The mission of the Department of at The University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College is to encourage and enable knowledge through the education of engineers for leadership in industry, business, academia, and government, within the community, the nation and the hemisphere; and the establishment of internationally recognized research programs. This mission is accomplished by the delivery of an outstanding curriculum, the cultivation of students, and their participation in through the scholarly and project activities of the faculty.
